¶ On-Demand Backups
You can create an immediate backup before making major changes:
- Go to Dashboard → Backups
- Click Create Backup Now
- Wait for the backup to complete (usually 2-5 minutes)
On-demand backups count toward your 30-day retention.
Always create a backup before:
- Updating WordPress/Magento core
- Installing or updating plugins/extensions
- Making theme changes
- Importing data
For extra protection, periodically export:
- WooCommerce: Products (Products → Export)
- Customer list: WooCommerce → Customers → Export
- Orders: WooCommerce → Orders → Export
Periodically test restores in a staging environment to verify backups are working correctly.
